It seems to me as I get older I fart more now than I did when I was younger. I'm 51 now, fit, in shape and all that, healthy too. But I tell you, in the evening, I let out some real stinkers and if my gal is around, I better leave the room before I kill her. I don't recall my earlier life being so farty. Is this typical ?

I'm 55 and fart all the time. But I think its that young guys have more inportant things to think of(like getting laid) and maybe fart non-stop. If I were you I'd go to wallmart, walk around checking the difference between young and old. Your 51 so what else is there to do?

Not necessarily more. Its just that the older you get, the less self conscious you are. So you probably just notice older people farting more.

No, clearly you have fart issues. Go see a fart doctor.

If one should slip out when she is in the room, just look at her as if you are in shock and act like she did it.

I would assume (no pun intended) that as you age that you lose your muscle control. And maybe it's harder to hold them in or that your body just doesn't digest food like it used to. Maybe you need some fiber.
