you obviously do not understand the idea of a turbo, yes it can be used on a car or truck with an automatic engine since it deals with the exhaust side of the engine helping the intake charge of air, you can also have a supercharge on a engine instead of a turbo or if you know how it actually works you can put a supercharger and a turbo on the same engine and if anyone doesnt believe that i can give an example

Of course. There is no reason why not. The new BMW 335i has a turbo engine. So does a Porsche 911 Turbo, just to give you two examples. But in reality, this happens all the time. The new Acura RDX has a small turbo and does not even come with a manual option.

Come to think of it i have never seen one but i don't know why not, alto the shift down of the auto will do the same as a turbo so wants the sense? . Its really the engine that is important. If the engine is not built for a turbo it will eat it up in nothing flat. Not enough oiling system.

properly matched a turbo works very well with auto trans. shifts under boost conditions can be awsome[manual trans, boost is lost between shifts and turbo must spool up before boost comes back.] however turbo and manual trans is more fun [for me anyway]
