How come some intelligent people don't have common sense?

Well, I'm considered to be smart by some people, and I'll admit that I do lack common sense at times... I just tend to over think some things and I'm unable to see the truth that's staring at me. Well, we're all human and we make mistakes so...

because people can learn book sense/intelligence but it's really hard to teach someone common sense. Don't know what makes someone more capable of having common sense.

To some people it doesn't come as naturally.
