My mother is 60, she's never used a computer. When I leave I plan on leaving my computer with her. What are some ways I can help her to learn to use the computer and its basic functions and internet capabilities?

You can show her how to send emails, that should be fairly easy. You can also check the local libraries because they usually have programs that will teach older people how to use the computer, and they are free.

most cities have quick informative classes to teach people the basics of a computer. my 75 yr old mom learned the basics to communicate with nieces. these classes are cheap and help families stay in touch. good luck and stay safe!!!

you could write letters to her, or in an emergency send her a telegram! It will be easier for you to learn to write a nice letter than it will be for her to learn to use a computer.
