A lot of you guys are thinking, this is a fake question but trust me, this is the truth! My sister got pregnant about 2 months ago. Yes, she's the mother of my niece, Ja'Nay but since her father left my sister. But now she is a drug addict and gets drunk all the time, she sometimes have sex with Ja'Nay father and my co-worker at my job, who she is now dating. She don't know who's the father and how to explain it to both of them. And I have to help her since she is my sister and I don't want Ja'Nay to get involve with this because of her mother. So what is a sister to do?

Sounds like your sister has way too much on her plate to add another child to her family.

Have a community leader or spiritual leader or a therapist talk to her about her options.
She needs to get clean, stop having unprotected sex and decide what to do about this pregnancy.
They can always do a paternity test if that is important to her.
Good luck

This is really a difficult situation and probably not something you can handle alone.
To begin with: if your sister still does drugs and drinks even though she is 2 months pregnant then she needs to be committed to rehab. All 50 states have laws that punish a mother if she endagered her unborn child with drugs and alcohol if this child is born ill, and believe me, most children of drug addicts and alcoholics are born underweight and very sick, often disabled for the rest of their lives.
Talk to your sister about rehabilitation. Then ask her if she can recount when she slept with who, because there might be the possibility to calculate that from there depending on the time-span between the two encounters with the guys. If not, there are several options:
you can do nothing and wait until the baby is born, and then tell a case worker at children's services about the 2 possible dads. Both of them will be subjected to a paternity test, as far as I know the state pays it.
You can offer your sister to go with her to tell the two men what is going on. I am sure that both would want to know if they are the father, so both will have to take the paternity test, in this case I do not know who has to pay for it, but it is a necessity to determine who has to pay child support.
Hopefully you are able to convince your sister to go to a rehab center. There they will take care of those problems. It is not your responsibility, she is your sister, but she also is an adult who has to take responsibility for herself. Keep in mind that you will not do her a favor if you try to bail her out....good luck

It doesn't sound like there is much you can do. Your sister's life is spinning out of control. She is carrying an illegitimate child and doesn't know who the father is. I would say all she can do, is carry the baby, and have the DNA test done after her child is born.
Medical care is most important, at this time. Can you get her to see a doctor, and persuade her to be honest about her lifestyle? I hope so.
Important: Don't be co-dependent! Get some counseling for yourself, if this family matter has you all upset.

Your sister can petition the courts for a paternity test after telling both men that she's unsure of the paternity of the child. This would happen after the birth of the baby. Then, after the paternity of the baby is determined you could ask her for temporary custody of both your niece and the new baby. Be sure to emphasize that its only temporary. As even substance abusers are reluctant to let go of their children. Then, you could step in and provide for the children as best you could with the help of their fathers (if that's plausible). I'll keep your sister in prayer I know this situation all too well. Be blessed.

I would have her contact the Maury Povich show and then she can find out on national TV who the father is and continue to make an *** of the American society like every other person who does this same stupid ****.

I am so sick and tired of this happening in our country ... and we all wonder why everyone else in the world laughs at us and thinks that we are all screwed up!

by helping your sister by rescuing her from all her 'problems' from drinking and drugging you are enabling her to be who she is and not help herself..there are test she can have done before or after the baby is born..befor an amniofluid paternity test and after a paternity test..she need to come clean with these guys or and upfront..if she doesn't get help from them or help for herself she might consider adoption so the child can have some sort of life..or maybe you can help raise the child in a more stable environment but if you keep trying to fix her mistakes she is going to keep making them depending on you to fix it..sometimes the best help is no help at all in some cases

She should check into rehab ASAP before her addictions harm her baby. If she can't beat her addictions and it's not too late, abortion might be an option. Then she should confess to both men. They'll probably both dump her, but that's their right.

If you want to be a supportive sister, offer to care for her daughter while she is in rehab, and make sure she stays in rehab.

I know it's tough... but nothing worthwhile is ever easy.

u said she is now a drug addict. the first thing u should do is to bring her to an expert who can help your sister w/ regards to her behaviour. your sister cant tell who the father is unless u go to a doc. & have a DNA test.
