Regarding Dwarfism?

How is possible for 2 dwarves to have a normal child? Like the family on Little People Big World.

There are 200 types of dwarfism, not all are autosomal dominant. In the show you speak of, they have two different types. In achondroplasia, as referenced above, they have a one in four chance of normal sized child, they also have a one in four chance of a child with two achondroplastic genes, and that is a lethal combination, the child would not be born alive.

The most common form of dwarfism is called achondroplasia and is caused by a single dominant gene. This means that a person will have achondroplasia he/she inherits the gene from both parents or if she/he inherits the gene from only one parent and has the normal gene from the other parent. If 2 people with achondroplasia each have only one copy of the gene, then there is a 25% chance that they would have a child that inherits 2 normal genes and would have normal height.

Their type of dwarfism (and maybe all types) is genetic. They each have one dominant gene that causes dwarfism and one recessive gene (normal height) Each has a 1in2 chance of passing their recessive normal height gene to their child for a 1 in4 chance that their child will be normal height.

i guess dwarfism results from difficiency in growth hormone G.H for the feotus and the very early childhood this difficiency in growth hormone may be due to genetic defect and hence will be inherited ..or may be its because any other unknown etiology and so this couple can have a normal child

I think one is a dwarf and the other is a midget. If they both are dwarves than it just makes it more likely they will have dwarf kids, not impossible.
