this looks complicated, but is actually easy. borrow a sewing machine (they are easy for even beginers to work) and you'll be done in about an hour!
1. figure out how long you want it to be (measure from your waist to about mid calf.) double that number. this is how long and wide you want your piece of fabric to be. add a few inches to leave room for mistakes and hemming.
2. get the fabric (walmart sells it cheaply) you will probably have to sew several pieces together to get the length and width of it right.
3. spread it on the floor and draw a circle on it (you want the edges of the circle to be the edges of the fabric)
4. cut it. then measure half your waist (belly button to mid back)
5. draw an x in the center of the fabric (each part of the x should be the length of your half waist mesurement)
6. cut a circle around the x. it should slip over your head and onto your waist now.
7. if you cant get it on, cut a slit in the waist hole, and safty pin it once it is on.
8. hem the edges (fold under 1/2 and inch and sew) and you are set!

Very easy to make. Get a pattern from the fabric store. Basically you just sew two huge pieces of felt together (the tricky part is the waist and zipper), but you don't even need to hem it.
Then you just cut out some felt in the shape of the prancing poodle and glue it on. Then glue some fluffy "batting" onto the poddle shape to give it the fluff.
Easy easy if you know anything about sewing. takes about a day.

Poodle skirts are traditionally made of felt. They are circle skirts, so basically a big circle with an smaller inner circle in the center for your waist. The poodle part can be made of those craft pompoms.

Gawd! i'm hoping no longer. i think of they have been in form interior the 50's because of the fact poodles have been seen stylish dogs on the time. maximum folk are transforming into dissatisfied with poodles on the grounds that then. a factor will in simple terms come lower back in form if the corporation making it thinks it may sell a ton of them.

I would go on-line to sewing or crafts, or go into a local sewing and fabric store. I bet that the people will be so happy to help you. That's what they're there for after all. It sounds like fun!

Get material that looks like poodle skin. Wrap it around your bodies and dogs bodies and than sow the ends together where a skirt shall form.
