Family always comes first....but it also depends on what kind of Family you have. Sometimes you get better friends than you do family members.

FAMILY!!! you might be lucky enough to find a friend that is accepted as family and if you have, good for you! now if your family is dysfunctional and abusive that is a completely different story!
