My site is mainly written with flash but there should be enough html to get listed on any search engines [primarily Google]. I've submitted the site to them but to no avail.
The site address is http://barsantorini.com.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

You aren't really giving them anything to index; your page only has a title.

However, your page should still be listed on their search engine. I just did a quick check and you are indeed unlisted. If I were you, I would give them some time to index your site. They have a lot of other sites to index, so patience is required.

Google is good at what they do, however; I noticed that they index my site at least once a day! Can you imagine that? My site is not even important (just a personal page).

However, the almighty Google will decide for itself--you can't force it to work. After submitting your site, the only thing left is to pray.

A note on meta tags: They have been so abused that many search engines ignore them completely now.

> Why doesn't my site get listed on any search engines?

In this particular case it is because search engines cannot see pictures, they can just read text. Whoever designed the site has used Flash which is not a good idea if you want to impress the search engines.

Also usability studies show that users are not very keen of Flash only sites http://www.seo-blog.com/flash.php

Primarily, "listing" in Search Engines is a Paid Service. That's the Search Engines' main source of Income.

However, a work around is in designing the copy of your site in such a way as to have the meta tags score more "hits" for you.

There are professionals like me who re-write your copy and design it for you so that you get more "hits".

However, since you're looking for a free solution to your issue, may I suggest that you write your copy to include the words that most everyone would use in using a Search Engine to find the Service that you are offering?

You'll get better results, by doing this.

All the best.

Cheers

You need to have some incoming link(Websites listed on google pointing to your site). Also, create more html contents so the bot can crawl it easier.
