A mix. U can have some songs that have like a Halloween Theme like WereWolf in London by Warren Zevon, or Michael Jackson Thiller, and songs that everyone hears on a daily basis.

A mixed trance cd such as Paul Oakenfolds Tranceport or Gatecrasher Red. Adds a party atomsphere plus as the songs are mixed u notice the change in song but dont notice when the song changed givin a feeling of continuality

i think you should play some music that people can dance too, if you are having a friendly halloween party---
you could play some Green Day songs---like American Idiot
just make sure the songs are catchy---and NO LOVE SONGS must be played...it's a party---mind you!

Put your favorite non-stop radio/tv music station on and let them play the music for you.... Much easier. Theres some good ones on freeview/sky.
