This year is my grandparents fiftieth anniversary and we are planning a party for them with old and new friends and family. We are thinking of having it at our church and will probably have it catered. Can anyone think of any fun/nice ideas to do? We have thought about a slide show and maybe a "who knows them best" kind of game, but anything else?! We want it to be fun, yet classy.

I think it would be nice to find some pictures of them when they were young ...have them blown up...and hang them up all over the room. Also, play music that was popular when they were teens. Good luck and hope you all have a great time!

Instead of doing a slide show, why don't you do a big Presentation board of pictures of them on it? That way your party won't be so planned out and everyone can enjoy it at their leisure. Also, if some guests are there at the slide show, come later or have to leave early, no one will miss the pictures.
Have fun!

Hey this is great that your grand parents have been married 50 years. Maby you could have a Remenber When game. Let your grand parents tell thier stories of when they were young. You would be amazed at some of thier stories about life and some of the problems as well as the fun things that they did. You can also let some of thier friends tell thier stories too.

Guest guess how they met.
And have them write down each others 5 favorite things, such as flowers, songs etc..., but don't let them see the other ones answers. And them have them name each others 5 favorite things. And see how many they get right.
This is some of what we did at my grandparents 50th
Wish them congrats for me.
I hope that my marriage last that long. I love people who can make marriage work for a life time.
