yes to those answers i know this is astronomy not astrology...but i couldn't find it...and to that guy who said a guy who bites heads off bats is an areis...ur kinda a loser cause who pays attention to that stuff

This is a question about Astrology. Astrology and Astronomy have nothing to do with each except perhaps some nomenclature.

Aries - someone nieve enough to believe a corruption of Mesopotamian astronomy can predict their personality and/or future.
The Mesopotamians used what we call "astrology signs" to predict the movement of the equinox over cycles of thousands of years (quite an achievement). This is where concepts like the Age of Aquairius comes from.
The star signs read in newspapers (or anywhere else) are total nonsense.

They're no different than the characteristics of other zodiac signs. Why? Because zodiac signs are baloney. Do you really think that everyone born under your sign has the same personality? Here's a tip, get a bunch of different personality horoscopes from different signs, mix them up and try to guess which one is yours without looking at the name. You won't be able to tell (unless you peaked or already know the "supposed" characteristics) because they're always so vague that they're designed to fit just about everyone, that way they can never be wrong. I mean...let's say the characteristics for an Aries are creative, organized, good with other people, thoughtful, honest, and compassionate. Those are pretty broad terms, and generally fit just about everyone, or at least everyone likes to think that they fit so they go, "Yeah, that is SO me."

Well they're just weird. About the only normal characteristic is that they are often roughly bi-laterally symmetric. Bismarck was an Aries, as was that guy who bites heads off bats, but now he's something different : that's how weird they are!
