When I'm swimming I can do a front flip underwater and I'll be just fine, but if I try doing a backflip underwater my nose starts burning really badly and it really bothers me. Why does it do this and how can I prevent it from happening?

Try blowing bubbles out through your nose when you do it, it will push air out and prevent water from coming in.

take a BIG breathe before you do it, then blow as hard as you can out of your nose...after a while of practicing you'll get better.
