Honestly, when the RAZR came out, I absolutely hated it. I thought it was so ugly and huge, and I wasn't a fan.

A couple years later and now I own one.

The main reason that I bought one was because it was CHEAP. I got it for $39.99 and I think for that price, it is really good! Now prices aside the phone for me has been great, like I said I really don't like the design, it looks like a remote control to me, but it has always worked great. The battery does die fast if you talk all the time like I do, but everything else has been good. The ring tones that I buy sound SO good. Seriously me and my friend both have T-Mobile (please read my answer for this question to read what I think about T-Mobile if you are a potential T-Mobile customer. It could save you an $862 cell phone bill! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsUyWUJzejJkxn_fRCIiBl7sy6IX?qid=20061026164024AAzcBYF) anyway me and my friend both have T-Mobile and she downloaded the same song that I did off of T-Zones and the quality of mine is amazing, and hers sucks! I can't think of anything wrong with it, but I also just use it for basic stuff. I use the datebook, calling, texting, pictures, ring tones, alarm clock, and calculator. It doesn't have an mp3 player but I really didn't want one, that is the reason I have an iPod! The digital camera is pretty decent for a cell phone camera, and if I want to take really nice pictures I will use my digital camera! So over all I think it is a good phone and you can't beat the price that I paid for it. But if you are looking to go to T-Mobile please read what I wrote. Thanks and good luck with choosing a phone =)

Oh and I added to say that I also agree with the dust thing. I dropped it and picked it up and dust got wedged under the screen, it's annoying when I want to have a dark backround, makes me want to constantly wipe off the screen!

I also drop it ALL the time, which is weird because with my old phone (It was a cheap FREE phone that lasted for 3 years!) I can't remember ever once dropping it. Maybe because of the thin-ness but it's kind of wide, I don't know.

And I disagree about the fasion statement thing. I really really don't like the design but I got one anyway. Now it is growing on me but I don't think it's cute or a nice fasion statement. It does fit easily into my jeans and isn't bulky which is a plus! I had to put my old phone, not a flip phone, in my purse because it was so bulky looking even though it was so tiny! The thin-ness is a plus for that!

It's not that it's a terrible phone, because it's not. It seems like the PERFECT phone and that nothing could possibly go wrong with it at first, but when the slightest little thing messes up with it, it's all downhill from there.

I've already been through 2 and the second one hasn't gotten any better. I personally think that Motorola is a crappy brand of phone, but that's my own opinion. If you are looking for a good quality phone, I would definitely buy an LG. I had one of those foreverrrrrr and it was the best phone I've ever had. My mom also has an LG and it's just simple, but she hasn't had one problem with it so far and she's had it for over a year.

Oh yeah, and another one of my friends has had 4 different razrs, about to go on 5 because her new one is messing up.

I had a razor phone, they are good and easy to use for making calls and sending text messages and picture messages. The only problem I had with the phone is that the battery never seemed to last very long and had to keep charging, that was the only reason I switched back to using Nokia, because the are better for holding charge than any other phone I've used.....

My bf and I both have razrs they are durable phones I drop mine alot. Some dont hold a charge long for some reason I had to have mine replaced once for this and the new ones hold a charge fine, A full battery lasts me all day I do alot of texting though.ALOT.
The screen will get really dirty and cloudy over time though. It seems to happen from keeping it in pants pockets cause my b/fs is very cloudy but mines not.
The sound quality isnt the best but with a bluetooth piece its good.
They are nice little phones.

No it is a pile of poo, my other half got one and the next week he brought another phone. Another friend of mine brought one as he thought it was flash, within 2 weeks he had also brought a new phone.
Nokia's are also a pile of poo. try looking at Sony Ericsson's.
