first download a program...free program...Avicodec.

After installing it and opening it...drag the anime clip into the open window of the now installed and running Avicodec...and drop.
After doing so the program window will fillup with little details...like which codecs you are missing.

On the right hand side of the window...you will see little boxes that say "web".

When you push these buttons...a window from your browser...Mozilla, Safari or Internet Explorer...will open to the page of the appropriate codecs.

You will be looking for XVID...and DIVX codecs..,.for the most part.

You may want to try installing Divx and or XVID codecs in order to see if that is all you need to watch your anime...

It depends on what file type the movie is in, but zoomplayer is what I use.
