I believe so, but you need to consult with the Department of Family and Children Services, and the DA... But if you do, they are going to want some proof and it's going to be ugly. But I don't know if you're the mother or the father, but if you're the father you're gonna have a hard time. Depending on the age of the child they could have a say in it. My cousin buried hisself because my uncle tried to get custody of him from his mother and he testified against him, so he's stuck with his mom until he's 18, and he's about to be 17 still going through a custody battle. Good luck with that though. And get a good upstanding lawyer that you can afford too.
