well betas are bascicly the only fish that can survive with out filtration, so i suggest getting a 1 gallon tank and from there, maby try guppies, minnows, tetras, neons, and goldfish.

I don't care what all these other idiots say, I can tell you by experince that I have had a betta in a .75 gallon fish bowl for over 2 years and he is healthier than when I got him. My roomie's died after 1 year in a bigger 2 gallon bowl. Also, my friend has a guppy in a 1/2 gallon bowl with a plant and it seems to be pretty healthy (still colorful and frisky after a month)

If it's that 3 liter vase that's not even 1 gallon then none.

None. Get a 1.5 gallon tank (longer than it is tall) and get an African dwarf (NOT clawed) frog. They generally need a gallon per frog. I personally would go with a larger tank though because they seem to like being with other froggies. :-)

I see that everyone has said a betta, but really, bettas like flowing, heated, filtered, tanks. Not 1 gallon bowls. :-) You can go to the petstore and ask them... But I'm sure they will say a betta. Poor fishies! :-( Always packed in tiny bowls with no room to move around. :'-(
