1993 Chevy Lumina 3.1 intermittent stalling problem. New gas tank, fuel pump, control module, 3 new coils, plugs, wires, IAC valve, fuel and air filters. Good pressure at the fuel rail. Car stalls under different circumstances (at idle, driving 50, slowing to a stop). OBD shows a 12 (handshake) code and nothing else. Any ideas?

When it dies, sometimes it restarts right away, sometime I have to wait for a few minutes.

Well you changed a lot of things but I'll bet you forgot rubber.
What rubber, the rubber in the fuel line.
There is rubber in the fuel line that I suspect is collopsing
If it is it cuts off the fuel and thus the car dies. After the pressure drops the line un kinks and the car starts again.
I would go over the fuel line inch by ince and see if the rubber is collopsing.

Check the fuel cap, should be vented. If not the tank will implode causing the engine to starve of fuel. Put a fuel gage on the pressure rail and watch it when it stalls. Another problem could be a crank sensor, though it usually has to cool off before it restarts.

may sound strange but have a reliable mechanic ck out the vehicles catalytic converter (if you live in a state that requires it).
My dodge ram van had the same problems you describe & it tooks 3 diff. auto repair shops to figure that out. And if your vehicle has one dont put it off getting it replaced - they have been known to burn out & catch the car on fire.
