I separated my baby dwarves from their mom at four weeks, and they were fine. You should notice if the babies are eating and drinking on their own. I knew mine were weened because the mama hamster made it obvious (she fought them off if they tried to nurse after about three weeks). Don't put the dad in, even you want to mom to get pregnant again. Wait till the babies are gone so he doesn't try to hurt them. The babies shouldn't get pregnant- they shouldn't hit sexual maturity till about two months. Also, make sure he and the mom don't fight. Best of luck to you and the hammies!

That depends. They should have fur, opened their eyes and started eating solid food by now, so they quite self reliant. The minimun and optimal age to take them from their mother to hand tame is 3 weeks. If you're giving or selling them away, it's best to give it 4.
You can put the father in the cage. He wouldn't get the babies pregnant (i think they must be 3 months old b4 they can get pregnant) but keep an eye on them in case the female attacks him or he attacks the babies.

They will mature very quickly. The best way to know when it is time to separate them from their mother is when they start eating by themselves, have all the fur developed and have their eyes fully opened. Until then...they should still be with their mother. Don't put the father in, because he WILL hurt them to death. He will not eat them, because they have grown (three weeks is like a toddler age for a hamster).

Don't touch them, don't take them from the mother, and DON'T put a male in the cage. And maybe call a vet or pet store to get better answers to these questions. I had a vet in my town that worked with exotic animals. Try one like that.

Do put the dad back or he will eat the babies, the mom has to be with the babies at all times! until one month later, or they might die. Also don't touch the babies or the mom might eat them! Crazy huh, but it is a fact. That is all you need to know.

You shouldn't take them from the mother yet while they're still dependent on her. Even more importantly you SHOULDN'T TOUCH THEM! If you touch them, you'll change their scent and the mother might not recognize them and eat them. Sounds gross but my old science teacher had baby hamsters and that's exactly what happened.
