Why do you have to fight yourself? You know how contradictory that sounds... about as bad as Augustine:

"no man might hinder the hot contention wherein I engaged myself"

The limitation is the 'me'.

We think in patterns which become repetative, mechanical.
This in turn limits the brain.

Is the 'I' that wants to get round the limitation different and distinct from the 'me' that feels it forced upon him?

If i was to play a keyboard using one finger and one key, would it be accurate to say that the keyboard limits 'me?'

Mental re-programing. Its about will power and a certain consciousness about your surroundings. The limitations are nothing more than the automatic reaction(some what reflex). We learn to react to situations and concepts in a particular way. Instead of automatically responding to a stimulation think about what you would do normally , then do what you would prefer to do. The more times you accomplish this the quicker your "re-programing " begins.

Stop being a pessimist and instead use your brain to its full extent. If you've got something you enjoy doing, practice and become great at it. Study complicated but very relevant subjects like religion. Be the best you can be!

the rest is used for doing stuff that requires no thinking like:
moving
breathing
your heart beating
fighting infection
seeing
tasting
feeling
hearing
and so on...
