My partner has mentioned to me that during sex his penis goes numb but he maintains his erection. After ejaculation he says the penis stays numb but soon returns to normal. It is not completely numb but is numb enough that he can hold a cold drink against it without feeling to much coldness.
Is this a normal sensation?

He said it only happens during intercourse. He tries to tell me its from the friction. Although, it doesn't happen if he just masturbates.

Doesn't sound normal to me. He should really see a doctor who is trained, qualified, and licensed to give medical advice. People on this site are not.

It does sound like some kind of nerve entrapment. He needs to make an appointment with a doctor

Obviously he is riding to high in the saddle causing nerve damage..He should adjust his position of entry...Its a simple solution...Usually done by novice lovers...He should get some books on the techniques of love making...

I have the same condition. My spine is slightly twisted from a car accident and this puts pressure on the nerves that go to that area.

I do not think that is normal at all. It sounds like some kind of nerve pinch or damage.

Sounds like it has something to do with the blood flow, maybe not getting enough oxygen.

I don't think tats normal... normally you can feel it.. but that just not normal! tell him to visit the doctor!
