I was like that. I tried to change my food buying habits at the store and it helped abit. Didn't eat out at all. I would have cut back on gas but my job was on the road. I knew there was better jobs out there with better pay for what I did so I looked and interviewed and found a better one... gave my 2 weeks notice and doubled my income with a new job. Now I take my spare money and put it into a savings account that has 5.15% Annual cumulative interest (this is alot surprisningly. $100 got a gain of 36 cents in a month). You can do that too. Look online at some job boards. You can do it. :) Good luck!

No. You need to write down all your monthly bills, such as utilities, rent, phone, etc. Then write down what you spend for food and car expenses, including insurance, gas, and upkeep. Then write down what you buy each month, such as meals out, cell phone, movies, until you have everything listed. Have a look at the expenses and compare it with what your income is. Then begin cutting expenses, especially the movies, eating out, and even the cell phone. I know most people think they can't live without it but I don't have one and don't miss it. I don't even like talking on the home phone. But that's just me. If you are going to get ahead, you need to save something each month, even if it's only $10-$20. If you work, take your lunch with you. That's a big savings and helps you eat right too. If you sincerely don't make enough to even save a little bit, maybe you should get a part-time, weekend job to supplement your income.

I wish to say count me out! Just found out my health insurance at work went up $8.00. Now more trips to the vending machine. Have to bring in my own drink container. Probably go with the tang or green tea.
If people still reading all these, one way to save on prescription is www.walmart.com has extended the $4.00 certain generics to about 15 different states a month/30 day supply. They should have generic listing on the website.
And that Kmart offers 90 days for around $15 for certain list of generics.
I have not much spending fun. Maybe $3.00 per month to try Megabucks here in LAS VEGAS. Whoopeee!

I am. I have two kids and my husband can't seem to get it together. I can't quit my job because I live paycheck to paycheck with a 6 year old and a 14 month old. Don't pay babysitting but d pay electri, rent, cable, phone, gas, WSG, and buy food all month long. Never go out to eat or even catch a matinee. I do believe that my ship will come in, but can't it be a speedboat???

Completely...sometime we have to figure out which bill gets paid and which one can wait. I take care of my mom and my younger brother on one income. (no supplemental help) Between rent, electric, cable, gas and all the little things that come up out of nowhere...i sometimes wonder how i make it through sometimes. Good luck in your situation.
