Barry Sanders, imo, was THE BEST RUNNING BACK the NFL has ever seen. The only reason he didn't break more records was because he was frustrated and retired. But back to your question, no, he can't come back now. He's gotten way too old now. But Sanders deserves a ton of respect for the career that he had. A crying shame that he left.

Are you kidding me? You can't miss a few years of football and come back and be good. Take Maurice Clarett for example, he comes out of college early can't go pro. He misses a couple of years of football, gets drafted and before the season starts he gets cut. Barry Sanders can not come back and make a team, much less own the running game.

He would probably still own the running game had he not retired so early. Or he would just now be leaving the game.

Too old, too late. He'd be injured inside a month.
He was good while he was there, but running backs have a limited lifetime, and barry's is past, sadly

Not a chance. It is really too bad he retired though....my gosh...the man was the best RB I have ever seen. When the Lions played against my favorite team...I cringed everytime he touched the ball in fear that he would take it to the house.

not really. the game has changed a bit. defensive men are bigger, faster, stronger, and more versatile. he me be able to own some defenses but overall, i doubt it. and he's in his mid 30's. he's not the same player back in when he used to play
