Does anyone have any advice for searching for jobs in another state. My main purpose for wanting to move is the cost of living where I am currently living (too high). I would like to secure employment before moving, but am having trouble getting employers to take me seriously about relocating.

I guess I should have made it clear that I would like to continue working in my field and expand my career. I am not looking for just any job. I am midway through my career and would like to advance in my career in another state.

When I relocated to Tampa, Florida, I took a vacation there for one week while I had to attend a interview for the job. Driving over 300 miles for the interview was impressive with the company and I was hired and given one month before I started so I could move. It was that simple.
