The Eagles song Hotel California was suggested to be about a visit to the Church of Satan in San Francisco, Anton Le Vey was even supposed to be on the Album cover, standing in the shadows.

The song Hotel California really isn't about anything according to Glenn Frey. His quote from a radio interview a few years back was: “we were listening to a lot of Steely Dan records at the time and were impressed with the way that they could make ‘junk sculpture' lyrics about nothing and make them work into a song.”

www.winchestermysteryhouse.com or prairieghosts.com/winchester. No the Hotel California song is not about the Winchester house. That's my theory anyway. But now that I think about it that is a pretty neat theory.

She was the daughter of the Winchester's the inventors of either the gun or shotgun, and on Ghost Hunter's from the Sci-Fi channel investigated it and couldn't prove anything one way or another. I believe the house is in California, it has halls that don't lead anywhere. It proves how creeped out people can do such weird stuff if they have the money. It is a bizarre house

I don't think so. I always thought it was about drug use. If you can check out the Mystery House it is pretty cool and really weird, lets you know what crazy people with money can do.

I don't think the song is about that house. The song is being belittled just by suggesting that. The house is boring. I've been there. Hearst Castle is much much more interesting.
