Ok I want to know if guitarists would buy a book that contains just guitar scales and chords as a reference guide.

The book I have seen contains all chords in every key and the scales that can be played over these chords.

However, it is not a 'how-to' guide but reference only.

You don't say what level of guitarist you are.

I'm a beginner and just have a poster on the wall with reference chords, two sets of books for beginners, two sets of tapes for beginners and several simple songbooks that contain songs I like and want to learn how to play.

I also have a very close friend who's been playing guitar for over 30 years to help me when I get stuck.

if there's a e book that has the two then why placed money into finding out to purchase separate books. Chord Chemistry by way of Ted Greene is by way of a techniques the main suitable e book on chords. Guitar scales would properly be regarded up on the internet. For a beginner i might think of you will choose to start with the main and minor scales. in case you would be enjoying rock, pop, blues, usa then the subsequent scales to examine are the pentatonics (significant and minor).

I have one and i've been playing for 13 years. Sometimes if I'm learning a new song (and I have the sheet music) I don't always know certain chords, especially ones that are "rare". Plus, it's good practice!
