Your joints hurt because you are running. You have open endplates that could be getting a little tender. You have a bunch of other tendons and ligaments that are probably not fully developed and may also be getting sore. You points of insersion for your muscles may be getting tender. Don't overdo it and you should turn out OK.

Joint pain or stiffness of the joint may be caused by overexertion, injuries, arthritis, muscle pain, bursitis and other diseases. Depending on the cause of the joint pain, joints on both sides of the body and small or large joints may be affected. Some types of joint pains can be completely cured but for other types of joint pain (like pain caused by osteoarthritis), treatment will only reduce the pain. You don't have to have inflammation or swelling for it to be arthritis. You are putting alot of stress on your joints when you run. Have you tried heat or ice on the joints after running? And I would let your dr. know. If arthritis runs in your family, that could be it and it would be wise for you to check it out soon.
Good Luck

simply growing pains, try motrin. If your joints are inflamed you wont be able to see it, just feel it. Its a part of growing. Eating proper and resting will also aid in your healing process.
