i am an expert on eyes!♥

To create the illusion of bigger, more dramatic eyes, start with foundation. Make sure that the skin tone around your eyes is even. If you apply liner, mascara, and shadow to eyes that haven't been cleaned, moisturized, and "made up" with foundation and powder, the results will be less than perfect. (Note♣The following two steps can be reversed.)

Eye Liner

Next, you will want to line your eyes. Some people prefer liquid liner over pencil; whatever medium you choose, make sure that your lines are even, unsmudged, and do not run. Line the entire top lash line and extend the line a little at the corners. If you prefer to line the lashes under your eye, make sure that you start the liner at the outer third of your eye and extend it just a bit beyond the corner. Dark, neutral colors will deepen your eyes; frosted, light shades will make your eyes appear smaller and may make the "whites" of your eyes appear less than white.

Eye Shadow

The next area you will want to focus on is shadow. Entire books have been written on the application of eye shadow. When in doubt, use neutral or subdued tones such as brown, gray, or plum, and use them sparingly. Raise your eyebrows, tilt your head back, and lightly brush a small amount of shadow in the hollow that appears between your lashes and eyebrow. Blend a little shadow in the area between your upper lashes and the hollow so that it doesn't look like you've drawn a line above your eye. Keep in mind that less really is more when you're working with makeup. If you're not sure how to use a particular cosmetic, it's best to leave it out of your makeup routine.

Eyelashes

Eyelashes are a terrific eye-opener. Curl them before you apply mascara; at the base, halfway up, and then at the tip to create a rounded curl (rather than an "L"). Blondes usually look best in brown mascara, and brunettes look best wearing black mascara. Unless you have blue or purple hair, stay away from blue and purple mascara.

Eyebrows

For picture perfect eyebrows, choose a pencil or powder in a shade that complements your skin tone and hair color. Fair complexions should use a blonde or light brown shade, olive complexions should use brown, and African-American skin should use dark gray tones. Pencils should be used only to fill in sparse areas, not create eyebrows where none exists. After you've filled in your eyebrows, set them with a clear or slightly tinted eyebrow gel.
TIPS♥
Pencil Eyeliner

For a really sharp point, leave your eyeliner in the freezer for a few minutes before sharpening. You'll get great definition and more control from a better tip.

Eye Shadow

Dampen your eye shadow brush and brush a layer of damp face powder to your lids before applying shadow. Your eye shadow will stay in place longer.

Eyebrow Gel

Eyebrow gels come in a variety of colors: clear, lightly tinted (for blondes), and brown (for brunettes). Always use a gel that complements your hair and skin. Do not substitute mascara for eyebrow gel; it will clump and smear on your skin.

ok i will make a list for ya.
1.Foundation:DONT USE IT! Its horrible. It clogs your pores and makes them swell up.So dont worry about that.
2.Powders: Just use the brush and put it all over your face.It will leave a makeup line underneath you chin so put the powder on your face AND neck.
3.Concealers:Dont put this all over your face, just over a pimple or blemish or freckle or any spot.Use a little dab and rub it in gently to your skin.
4.Blushes: Smile. The apples of your cheeks will show up.Apply it there.
5.Eye Shadows: just put it on your eyelids.BUT A LITTLE BIT DONT OVERDO IT.
6.Eyeliners:Until you learnhow to apply this, lets not go both bottom and top lash.So do the bottom.Take the eyeliner pencil and do a thin line just underneith the lower lashes.
7.Mascara: Just apply it to your top lashes.
GOOD LUCK! If you have questions email me!

I think the best way to learn how to put makeup on is get it done by a professional. Well at least once. Sometimes, some department stores (I go to Marshal Fie...err..Macy's or Carson Piere Scott), have days when they bring in the profession make up artists who will do your make up for free (you have to ask around and you usually have to set up an appointment).

Of course, it's all a gimmick to get you to buy their makeup (you don't have to purchase anything), but you can actually learn some techniques from them while they put your makeup on. I usually ask them questionss on how to apply things and what colors look good with my skin tone. Actually it's fun when you bring mom or a friend with you to these events. Also, it's good idea that someone is there to give you a second opnion on the makeup artitsts work.

FOUNDATIONS:with bare minerals, its pretty hard to screw it up. just brush it over your face evenly.

BLUSHES: smile big and use your foundation brush do dab it on the apples of your cheeks (the round part when you smile)

EYESHADOWS: dont use those little foam things you get with the eyeshadow. they dont work. use an eyeshadow brush or just your finger works fine. rub it over the eyeshadow, then over your eye. if you arent used to wearing makeup, dont put on too much. also, using a losse powder eyeshadow or "pixie dust" helps even the eyeshadow out.

EYELINERS: i just dont bother with these because i screw up constantly. but ive heard that using a liquid eyeliner is better than solid, and it looks better if you just line the bottom lid, not the top.

MASCARA: i like waterproof mascara cuz it stays on all day. make sure the bristles on the brush are very close together to avoid "spider-lashes" just hold the brush under your eye and move it upward. only once or twice is necessary.

you could also go to a department store and set up and appointment with one of the girls from the counters.. I know they charge but i think what they charge is $40 and you get to buy whatever you want so a plus would be if you like foundation or colors they put on you, you can buy them and they have showed you how to put it on..
Practice practice.. practice when you get home from school or on weekends.. Do you have a friend or aunt or neighbor you could ask.. someone who's makeup you like the way it looks on their face. women you know are usually nice.. all you have to do is ask.. Good Luck..

The shorter the verb, the more effective in all chance it really is to be of German extraction, and subsequently in all chance for use with a preposition to furnish one of those different meanings. placed, take, provide, make, run, go, come, sit down ... that is area of what makes English so very versatile, yet this kind of nightmare for foreigners gaining comprehend-how of it.

the real trick to wearing make up is to make it look as natural as possible. don't cake it on making it look really thick
with foundation the KEY thing to remember is to blend it in all the way espically around the ears and chin. you don't want to look like you are wearing a mask.
but for really good tips go to your local mall and go to the cosmetics (makeup) counter and ask one of the sales ladies or gentleman on what is best for your type of skin and face

Tricks of the Trade - Applying Make-Up

There are a number of different tricks and techniques that we have developed to make applying make-up easier, as well as more appealing. Let's start with the basics.

Always start your make-up with your foundation. This will even out your complexion and give you a good base to start with. Now for the trick. Use a sponge to apply your foundation. This way your foundation will not change colors due to the oils on your fingers, and you will not contaminate your foundation.

Another trick is to use a large complexion brush to smooth out your foundation around the hairline and jaw line. This way you will not have a line of demarcation around the edge of your foundation. Next apply your brow color. Follow up with a brow gel to keep your brows looking nice all day or night.

Apply your highlighter next. The trick here is to use a highlighter like our Beige Eye-lite that is creamy instead of a waxy cover-up. When you are trying to hide lines on the face, using a waxy substance will not move with your face, thus causing creases and other wrinkles to form in the product. Using a creamy highlighter will get into the lines to lighten them and make them less visible. Again use your complexion brush to blend your highlighting after you have applied it.

Now it is time to concentrate on your eyes. Applying make-up is like being an Illusionist or Magician. It is not like an artist that paints, because we are working with three dimensions. This is why it is important to use three different eye shadows. Starting from the top eyelash choose a color of a medium tone. Apply that from the lashes to the crease in the eye.

The next shadow should be two shades darker than the the first. Apply this shadow from the top of the first to the brow bone. The next shadow should be one shade lighter than the first to highlight the eye brows, because the eye brows are what gives you your expressions.

Apply this shadow from the top of the second shadow to the bottom of the eye brows. This is how you give your eyes dimension, by going light, dark, lightest with your shadows.

Now apply your eye-liner. The trick here is to use a shadow and firm bristle brush. This will give a more natural appearance. Always start from the outside going toward the center on the top and bottom. Another trick to this is to make sure you do not make the top and bottom meet at the corners both inside and outside. By doing this you will make you eyes appear larger.

Something else you can do to your eyes if you would like them to appear whiter, is to use a white pencil on the inside of the lower lid. This way light will reflect off of the white onto your eyes. This is especially helpful for people that tend to have a lot of redness in their eyes. Now it is time once again to blend with your large complexion brush.

We are almost done. Your next step will be your blush. The blush is applied to the cheek bone, and if you stare at yourself in the mirror find the place where your cheek goes from flat and starts to curve back. This is where you should start your blush, then follow the cheek bone back.

Now let's do your lips. Make sure that your blush color and lipstick complement each other when you hold them together. If they do not look good side by side they will not look good on your face. This is also important for the next trick. Use your blush as a base color for your lipstick. This will help your lipstick last longer and prevent it from bleeding.

The next trick for your lips is to use a soft bristle brush like our Gold Lip Brush to apply your lipstick. You will have more control this way, and your lipstick will stay on better. Like your eye-liner start from the outside and work in towards the center on the top and bottom lip. If you have small lips and you want to make them larger apply your liner just outside your lips. Conversely if you have large lips you can line just inside to make them appear smaller.

So how do you apply mascara? It's best to start with clean eyelashes. Prepare them in advance by using an eyelash curler as close the to base of your eyelashes as possible on your upper lashes.

Begin applying the mascara on the upper lashes, at the base. Whether you choose to hold the want horizontally or vertically is preference but it also may depend on the formula. Wiggle the wand as you go to apply evenly throughout.

A trick for the lower lashes is to take a thin tissue and position it underneath before you apply. This helps you avoid the messy blotches you may get on your face in the process.

If you choose to apply two layers, let the mascara dry for several minutes before applying the second coat. If you're too quick, you may end up with undesirable clumps and smudges.

If you still have clumps, use a metal eyelash comb to lift and separate. If you don't own a metal comb, you can take an old wand and clean it off completely and use it for this purpose only. For super-lustrous lashes, apply mascara to the top of the lashes as well as the underneath.

Now that you know some of the tricks of the trade you can apply your make-up like a professional.
