Play a normal 4-4-2 I dont think the 1-5-4 ,0r the 2-5-3 in most cases, will work. The 4-4-2 is tried, tested and works.
Keep developing young talent like Lennon and Walcott, find suitable replacements for G. Neville and other players getting on in years, and find a good solid core of strikers.

You need Wayne Rooney not to get injured and you have to win most of your games by more than an own goal(England vs. Portugal). Beckham has to be at his top, if he's even there. But your chances are still not that good.

The truth is England never learned to play the game. They are very consistent on defense, but on attack, all they do is center the ball and hope somebody connects. And they run a lot.

Make psychologists part of the youth program. By the time they make it to the national team, their heads are all screwed up. They'll never play as a team until they are taught the concept of team when they are wee lads.

England is overrated they easily qualify for the cup no offense to Ireland or any others and frankly i don't think they will ever win with Italy, and Brazil as good as they are

The way I see it, england had the potential to play in the finals..just bad luck, with owen? ( was it owen, cant recall his name) injured and rooney just out of recovery u had to rely crouch..he sucks bad.. also beckham wasnt at his best

I dont hate england.
But they just overrate theirselves.
Look how they lost to Portugal
Altough it was in Penalty kicks, Portugal dominated the game.
they need to stop overrating players like rooney,owen,etc.
They need to know that they does'nt stand a chance to teams like Argentina,France,Brazil,Italy,Germany,Etc. They are still in middle class, and need to stop overrating theirselves!
By not overrating theirselves, they might get to stand against these teams

They should naturalize some Brasilian players, and hire Scolari as there coach, look it worked for Portugal and they did the same thing..... lol
