Pistons---yes we did lose Ben Wallace but Nazr will do just fine.He is better offensively and he can make free throws.Rasheed will step up to us our best defender now that Ben is gone.We have also built our bench better (huge problem last year).Flip Murray should be nice coming out of the bench and McDyess should be in the running for the 6th man award. Also watch out for Jason Maxiel...the kid dropped some weight and has really improved, he should make the most out of the time he gets.

We still have the best starting 5.

I'm a Spurs fan and emotionally I want to pick them. But the reality is that in the West, I think both the Mavericks and Suns are both better (talking with my head, not my heart, here).

Having watched Nazr Mohammed with the Spurs, yes, he is a fine role player. But he's no Ben Wallace and you're naive if you think he is going to be.

I like the Nets in the East. I think they have improved their front-court, and in the Pistons' division, I think the Bulls will challenge them. And the Heat still factor in here somewhere.

If you made me pick one team here, I would go with the Mavericks.

Phoenix Suns
They made the playoffs last year without Staudamire who averages like 30 points a game and 10 rebounds. If he stays healthy and Steve Nast feeds the ball inside to him or throws it out to Marion for a 3 the Suns will be unstoppable.

Suns and Heat, Miami vs. Phoenix, doesn't get any better than that.

i almost guarantee that you are wrong. last season, who thought that the pistons are the champions? EVERYONE(except for a few people). there will be another champion. the bench hasn't improved, only got worse. mcdyess WAS their bench. now they have no bench. so forget the trophy, someone else will get it.
