The famous SNL skit. Some Chicagoans really do speak that way, not the wealthy suburbs though.
Chicagoans speak with "Chicago" accents, not Midwest accents. Chicago is a world unto itself. There is no place in that part of the country where people speak like that. Chicago is like NY with a great lake/midwest influence. Nobody in St Louis or Ohio talks like that.
You hear Da Bearss, da two of yous trow it out da winda, ober dere! Aaand you get the point.
A little similar to a NY accent, but we know how to pronounce our R's!

An old Saturday Night Live skit that was hosted by George Wendt (The heavy-set guy from the sitcom Cheers). The episode probably aired back around 1984 or so. Funny how stuff like that sticks around until people have no idea where it originated.

They took it from the SNL skit "Superfans"
It had George Wendt, Chris Farley, and Mike Meyers acting like typical midwest sport fans. They talked with a midwest accent, drank beer, ate sausage , and had frequent heart attacks.
From there it turned into a colloquialism referring to the football team.

People who live in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs tend to talk with that dialect. When Saturday Night Live was making fun of them, it became part of their "schtick" and it "schtuck"... !
