Bret "The Hitman" Hart. He will always be the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. Pro wrestling hasn't been the same since he left.

By best wrestler,
do you mean most popular? Hulk Hogan
best in ring ability? Chris Beniot
best promo? Dusty Rhodes
best tag-team? Road Warriors Animal & Hawk
Hulk Hogan is the greatest sports entertainer in the history of the business. But if it weren't for people like Gorgeous George, Bruno Samartino, Superstar Billy Graham, Jesse Ventura, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and many others, the fans would still be watching good old wrastling.

That wrestler would be HHH for WWE,WWF,NWA,WCW. And if you're talking about WWF and WWE it would be The Undertaker.

Kurt Angle - almost quick enough to run with Mysterio, and strong enough to pick up the Giant. You can't script or write in speed and power.
As far as the best showman, probably Hulk Hogan for overall staying power, with the Rock and Stone Cold having some good years at the top as well.
