I got accepted to both PSU and Texas Tech, I am planning on either going for anything relating to EE, CS, CE, EECS, etc. What do you recommend has a better program for this kind of engineering? I plan on moving out west to the Silicon Valley area after I get my BS. Which degree from which school will look better for me? I see PSU is ranked at #14 for best UG eng. program and TT is not even ranked on there. But that is just overall, it does not focus on their EE/CS programs.

One thing I noticed is that PSU and TT both have EE and CS for undergrads. But PSU has CE, while TT has EECS - which PSU doesnt have.

What do you recommend? - Basically, tell me which B.S. would be the best out of the possible options (ex: bs in MAJOR from SCHOOL)

I agree with the above respondent "Your Best Fiend". I live in the west and have spent years in computers and EE. I've barely heard of Texas Tech and I've never met anybody who went there who works in the field. You shouldn't even have a question here. PSU is the obvious choice.

Are you sure that you want to pursue those majors? There is a lot of competition in those areas recently. After a year or so of job searching with his degree in EE, my friend discovered that even though he liked EE in school, the job isn't that satisfying. (He works for Intel). What's great about EE versus Computer related majors is that there are other specialties you can go into: Power and Building System Design. So if what you thought you wanted isn't exactly what you want, you have other options. (side note: I find my engr job to be mostly in front of a screen and i can feel my belly growing)

I recall when I was in school that a person who couldn't handle Calculus, Physics and Chemistry at our school went to Texas Tech and got A's instead of F's.

So, choose PSU for EE with a minor in CS.

Or, you could choose my old school. :)
