I picking the Godfather because of Marlon Brando. But I liked Pacino better in Scarface. Both roles were so good for him, but Scarface has to edge it out.

For suspense and a bit more class, watch the Godfather. For brutality and all the violence, watch Scarface.

The Godfather series of movies was not only great directing, and acting, it was very historical showing what it was like for someone dirt poor to come to America at the turn of the century, live in a poor neighborhood, get married and rise through the ranks of the Mafia.
At the end, "Anthony" made it full circle in life, ending up where he began.
