we fight over it sometimes and it destroys us. i love my husband but i don't want to have anything to do with his son. what should i do to get over it?

s=you surely must have known about your husband's don before you married him and you got along with him then or you were just faking it to get married. Think back and go over in your head what has changed. If your husband hid the fact of this child than he faked you out and he is wrong. You cannot seperate a parent and a child. If you can't deal with it, than you need to leave. Sorry.

wow, wondering what the problem is with your step son that you dont want to be around him? He's gonna always be your husbands son, theres nothing you can do about that. I think you need to address the problem you have with him and see if you can fix it. Then on the other hand if he's a sorry no good for nothing always expecting a hand out, then your husband needs to step in and take care of that problem, you shouldnt have to deal with it. Just because your stepson doesn't look like your husband doesn't mean that he's not your husband's child. The child may have inherited the majority of his mother's genes. I have 2 children, one looks like me and the other looks like the Father. I think the underlying factor is that you simply don't like a third person in your relationship. Embrace the child.
