Maybe it's just me, but I love the way Coke tastes at McDonald's. I suspect it has something to do with the way they mix it. Has anyone noticed this?

I knew a guy who was regional manager for McDonalds and he said that McD's has a specific strict ratio of carbonation to syrup that gives their pop/soda such a better taste. Also when = restaurants keep their syrups too long the syrup flavor changes and is not as fresh. I love a nice cold Coke from McDonald's...it really is the best.

Fountain drinks are a mix, a ratio of syrup to carbonated water. Any establishment can vary the ratio to make it taste different. Coke "syrup" and bottled/canned coke/other soft drinks, from what I understand, is different from one region of the country to another. In other words coke in a bottle in NY City may be a different formula than coke in Jackson, MS.

Coke served at McDonalds tastes closer to Pepsi than Coke. I belive they use a higher percentage of carbonated water

The Soda is Made at the fast food outlets, they just mix in the ingredients provided by the Drink Companies to make the soft drinks, cheaply. May be why some Soft Drinks bought at food outlets tast watered down

I agree. It bugs me too, trying to figure that one out. However, the iced tea tastes too old. The Coke is good, but the tea is never just right! This coming from an avid Coke and also iced tea fan.

Yeah every time that I go there all the drinks taste a little light I think that they don't put enough syrup in it.
