If possible, both of you could get a job do that, and save up as much cash as possible, especially if you have somewhere to stay to be able to save up your cash. Budget yourself and stick to it for the ultimate goal and payoff of owing your on home. It sounds like you are trying to make the best out of your situation and be -very- responsible, good for you! There are plenty of first time buyer programs that you could look into. Do a search for first time home buying information and I believe that would be a great place to start. Talk to people in your state that may be able to lead you in the right direction. Don't let any one tell you, you cant' go after what you want and don't be deterred by those who have no heart or gumption. I wish you all the best and I really hopes this helps you in more ways than one! Keep your head up! Do our homework to make the most intelligent decision! there should be some type of classes to help teach you a lot of the information you need to know and don't even realize you need, look into that so that you can be as well educated as possible, this is a bi decision, don't take it lightly. i wish you all the best! My husband and I were married at 19, LOTS of people said it was a big mistake, and not to do it. We will be married for 10 years this Feb. don't let anyone tell you not to go after what you want!!!! If it is to be it's up to me with Gods help!

borrow money from their parents. If not trying to save up for a home will take a long time considering if you put less then 10% down you have to pay extra PMI until you have invested 20% into the home. We borrowed from my hubby's parents way way back and we only pay them $50 a month so they'll be dead by the time they get all their money back luckily they aren't worried about getting their money back from us and understand all the other bills we have that come along with owning a home. Good luck to you.

If it is for you don't do it. If a builder gets you in somehow in a few years you will be sorry. I have a young couple working for me that bought a nice house they got an ARM loan and there house payment went up this year and are now about to loose it.

Well it will be really hard to....but everything is possible rite..it has to do alot with where you live....if you live like me here in cali...then its extremly hard. You guys should probably start out with an apt..then save some money for a down payment on the house.

It isn't possible in the short term, without funds provided by family.
The best option in this difficult situation would probably involve post secondary school and several years of hardship.

either you ask rich parents, or win the lotto, or the job one of you have pays extremely well.
you could go get low income housing, but most of it probably wont be a dream home for anyone.

The answer is...
they can't.
Either mommy and daddy are still helping them out or they are majorly in debt and will have to pay it all of their lives.
