I don't think it will happen. The draft would make the Viet Nam protests look like a Sunday school picnic.

When that draft bill got redone I thought we would have a draft, but that was quite awhile ago and nothing about a draft happened, so now, I don't think there will be a draft. Instead I don't think we will fight too much on the ground, just do most with high tech from the air.

"George's war"? I thought it was the "war on terrorism". Remember 9/11? Remember the Embassy bombings in Africa? The attack on the Navy ship in Yemen? The first attack on the World Trade Centers? Something tells me its not just "George's war". I served my country from 1991-1996. Have you? So what if the draft makes a come back. Maybe some of the punk kids out there would learn some discipline. Whatever happened to supporting your country? If you dont care, the door is open, and good riddance.

There's NOT going to be a draft. There's never been anything to hint at it. The draft bill that was voted on in the House in 2003 was drafted by two democrats and didn't even get voted for the two democrats who introduced it.

The draft is not a reality anymore. Just a political ploy.

So.... the volunteer military is comprised of less than 2% of those who are eligible to serve. The Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps consistently meet their recruiting goals.

Less than 11% of the current standing force is deployed in Iraq.

I honestly don't think that you will be force to show your overt cowardice by moving to Canada anytime soon.

Try to remember the facts.... This is Congresses war in as much as it is George Bush's. I realize that it's more inflammatory the way you say it, but please... let's stick to the facts.

I would love to see an entire battalion of liberal losers like you strap on a weapon and spend one week in a war zone. I would love to see the look on your face at the first rifle shot. But who am I kidding, people like you love the freedoms that the military provide for you, yet are the first ones to crap on us at every opportunity.

But I will proudly defend your right to do so.

Maybe you could just say "thanks for your service", instead of the crap you spew.

Jim as you can see you were wrong, stop trying to induce panic into the days of the youth. There is no draft. It is an all volunteer service .

Only Dems have sponsored bills to bring back the draft.

No need for a draft, unless we were under a major direct threat.
