I understand that there is a disagreement about stem cells, and, of course, Rush is free to express his opinion. But was it necessary to physically mock Fox? It doesn't even bother me that Rush pointed out that Fox is using his illness to buttress his argument. Fox has admitted this, and I see nothing wrong with doing so or pointing out the fact. I just think it's disgusting to mock a sick person no matter how strongly you may disagree with them. What do you think?

Earl, I watched a video of him physically mocking Fox. If you can put that into a context that makes it ok I'd love to hear it.

Not by a long shot. I understand the issues with stem cell research and have at times struggled with how I feel on the issue, but no one should think that because they disagree with a scientific or political issue that it gives them the right to make accusations about a specific person and then proceed to physically ridicule them.
It shows absolutely no class.

I have dealt with people with Parkinsonism, and one of the facts is it does change according to the time of day, the time since you took your medication, your mood and your situation.
My inital thought was it was over the top, and after thinking about this, reading the other answers, changing my mind, and several answer re-writes later, I think he was wrong to raise the question of whether Fox was acting or hadn't taken his medication (he had) for the advertisement.
An advert is usually a very controlled situation. But with Parkinsonism when the condition is there, it can easily last for the rest of the day, so it wouldn't be hard to film.
Fox is a man who is held in high regard by many people, so he wouldn't have faked / acted / not taken his medication to simulate the condition, which is correct. It was actually caused by a slight overdose.
My guess is he didn't known that too much medication can produce the same symptoms as the disease itself until after the advert was aired, I certainly didn't know this until Fox said so.
Rush has apologized in person to Fox on air.

I thought the response was very inappropriate. Most doctors that spoke on the subject said the symptoms were very 'real' and that they believed Fox wasn't acting. Rush said when he has substantial evidence he will apologize. I think this just points out to people how conservatives really feel and act, that all that jesus-bullshit is just an act and I hope everybody wakes up for this election and goes out to make a difference.

No, I think it's horrible Rush did this. There have been others who used their Star Power for good causes (Jerry Lewis for MD, etc). But are you suprized that Rush was the person to do it? I'm not.

I think Limbaugh crossed the line. He's notorious for that. You should never make fun of someone with a disability. It might be you walking in those shoes one day.
