If you support the War, can you please tell me why with definite facts and reliable sources.
I really want to read legitmate research and arguments in support of the war.
I do not want opinionated blogs, or Fox News Rants...but rather facts about the War in Iraq and its justification. I also dont want any links to 9/11. No respected person connects the two.

The limitation of Yahoo! Answers is the lack for me to reply.
Anyone who says why I support the Terrorists is obviously not getting the question, and obviously wasting my time.
Anyone who says that I am not supporting the troops is also not getting the question. The question does not deal with troops, but with the Bush Administration. My brother is currently in the Army.
***PLEASE PEOPLE: REFERENCE YOUR SOURCES.
I want to read primary sources myself. The question's purpose is to able to gather an understanding of people's support.
Furthermore, when you say a book makes a connection...can you please briefly explain it. My knowledge, along with many others (including the President's own admission) is that there is no connection between Bush and Bin Laden.

I assume you are in college, since you are requesting "primary sources, not as common in HS.
You are going to have a very hard time finding primary source material, as most of the documents that might help make your case are classified.
A lot is going to depend on how you rame things.
The 9-11 commission report is a secondary source if you are using it to analyze the terrorist attacks or the Iraq conflict/occupation.
However, if you frame it in the (Response to 9-11 or How did congress link or seperate Iraq from 9-11) then it is a primary source.
Photos are always primary. If you can get copies of the photos that Colin Powell used at the UN, they hould be declassified, then you could include them.
The transcripts from the UN speech should be readily availible online, just google it. However, keep in mind, even Powell feels he was duped into lying to the UN. So it will be legitimate primary source material for why we went, but with 20/20 hindsight, it is obviously flawed.

I'm not a clinton supporter - but this idea that a decision once made can never be updated or changed is ludicrous. New evidence comes to light, situations change, and new ideas emerge. Some call it flip flopping - I call it thoughtfulness and critical thinking.

Well I don't support Bush or the war (I do support the troops, its not their fault that their commander in chief is an idiot) BUT....
An evil megalamaniacal dictator responsible for countless acts of depravity and torture and murder is behind bars now.
That's the only good I can see having come out of all this.

someone said you should read the 9-11 commission report and I couldn't agree MORE... Bush's actions since it has come out have fallen short in almost every capacity, especially in apprehending those responsible...
all they can do is throw out a bunch of pre-9-11 information that says Saddam is the largest threat in the world... I think they want you to forget about 9-11...

Nobody likes war but it is inevitable. War has been a part of life since bible times. Not saying I agree with this particular war but I do think that Freedom is not Free (sorry for the cliche') and that we should support and pray for our leaders and support our country even if we don't agree with their every decision.

Unfortunatly I have to bring up 9/11, GB needed a "second" Pearl Harbor" for justification and pretext to invade them. What better way to do this than unite the American people under a "terrorism act". This in turn will give him full support to invade anywhere he wants.....
