Why is Congressman Bob Ney still collecting a paycheck of taxpayers money?

What happened to the GOP urging him to resign and what happened to the "Sweeping Reform" that Speaker Hastert promised in the wake of the Abramoff / DeLay scandal?

Unfortunately, the only way for him to stop collecting a paycheck is for him to lose his job (after being voted out or through impeachment) or for him to resign. He thinks he did nothing wrong and won't resign. The GOP can't force him.

This is a good question. Wouldn't it be great if we could go on collecting a paycheck after we've been fired?
