according to a growth chart by the CDC...it looks like between 8-14 pounds is average...depending on birth weight and length

Between 10-14 pounds. Just depends on how big the baby was when it was born.............no baby should weigh 40 pounds at 2 months!

depends on how much your childs weight was at birth but your child should be gaining 1 oz. a day,between 8-12 lbs.

All depends on the weight at birth- my baby was 9lbs 10oz at birth, so he was up to like 12-13lbs by then.... however, my friend's daughter weighed 6lbs at birth, and is now 4 months old and weighs what my son did at birth! lol Your doctor will let you know if your baby is on tract with their weight and height with the growth charts....but it reallyy depends on their birth weight.
