Because they are white. Im not being racist but factual. J Edgar Hoover was successful in dismantling of the Black Panthers but the government allows areas in this country to live just like the ol south. I will never forget a sign that I saw while entering a town in Alabama in 1997 that read:IF YOU ARE A ******, DONT BE HERE AT SUNDOWN.

It's called "freedom of speech". Even unpopular speech is still protected. And there's freedom of assembly, too. If the government were to shut down the KKK, then where would they draw the line? Who would be next? In that case, any group could be silenced by the government, and that's anti-American.

Because this the United States of America and we r governed by a wild concept called "the constitution" that has this psychedelic amendment called free speech which just so happens to be the first amendment

Because freedom includes allowing people the freedom to be stupid if they want to be, as long as they don't hurt anyone. If you can catch them hurting someone, you can stop it, but they don't often come out in public with it because racists are chicken.

Because America is a free country. When the Klan first started, it was for a very good reason, you may wanna research it. But now it is just stupid, but hey, if they want to parade around in white sheets, it's themselves they're making look stupid, not you and me.

freedom of speech covers it all. All those we love and all those we might hate. Yeah we have freedom of speech here in Canada too :)

for the same reason we still allow a racist organization like the NAACP. It seems to be a pretty exclusive group, they wouldn't let me join
