Hmm.. if you think it's good, then sure, but ask yourself this: are you okay with walking into your lover/life partner's bedroom and seeing a big naked painting of yourself...? Or would they appreciate seeing themselves naked? *shrugs* If yes, then go for it!

im thinking more wrong than right
whos the painter
the thought of my wife exposing herself to another person ,then saying she did it for me ,well yeah right
if a painting is of the other which other
why if giving a painting to a lover does nude come to mind
if your stuck on a present wrap up your self
paitings are a permanant record you want a young you staring at you when your old
where will it hang ,what is the purpose ,does it fit in with the theme of the present room ,will it be a rememberance to good result ,artists use artistic licence ,will the picture out shine you

Writing again for the dissent. God Maybe I should go as Sandra Day O'Conner for Halloween!
For a life partner, definatelly go for it, it's as romantic as Boudiore pics and if done tastefully can be framed and placed in a romantic semi-public place in your house.
The question should be. will he appreciate it? If yes go for it with gusto, if not, then think of something else.
Also Christmas? What ever happened to DVD boxed sets for X-mas gifts? My only concern is your timing, I think something like this is best reserved for Valentines day or your aniversary.

There's a naked picture of me that my boyfriend Paul drew a long time ago, and my friend M's got it now, because I didn't really want to keep it and he liked it, but I wouldn't have given it to anyone as a present, because it would feel a bit weird, as if I was saying I'm gorgeous, or giving myself as a present. I don't think I'd want one from anyone else, either.

i would not want to receive that sort of gift. i think if you are not sure if your lover/life partner would like it then it would be best to think of something else.
