Hourly rates in the San Francisco Bay Area range from $15 to $30, depending on straight bowling or food/drink added. Astro bowling can be a good bargain because you pay $15 per person for a 2-3 hours session.

It all depends on where you live. In Las Vegas or Reno, Nevada, you pay about $2-$3 per game, plus about $3 to rent shoes. Of course, some places cost more than others. I know in Las Vegas and Reno, if you play late at night it's cheaper than in the evening. If you're planning on going at 11:00 in the morning, call first and make sure that the lanes aren't reserved for league bowling. In Las Vegas and Reno, a lot of places aren't open to non-league bowlers until 9:00 in the evening.

Your best bet would be to call the bowling place first and ask how much it costs to rent shoes and how much it costs per game (for one person).

You pay per game and not per hour.
