Go to a L&G center and get either Bonide Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer or Ortho Weed*b*Gon MAX. These are like the regular weed killers on steroids. They are made to kill hard-to-kill weeds like CC. If you are where it gets cold these weed killers work best above 60 degrees so don't waste your time spraying them if it's in the 40s and going to stay there. Wait till spring in that case. Put them down when it will be dry for 24 hr so it has time to be absorbed into the plant.

A solution of 1:10 borax in water can be sprayed on Creeping Charlie to kill it. But it has to be sprayed when the plant is flowering. This has worked for me, but it does leave big brown patches in the lawn where the Creeping Charlie had taken over. Charlie is very persistent though, and will continue to spread from any bits left behind.

Collegekid is acceptable on. Use a chemical product specifically designed for perplexing to regulate weeds. i like the Bonide product myself. in case you opt for to conflict with the help of hand, comprehend that as quickly as you go away broken roots interior the soil, new (evil) Creeping Charlie vegetation will sprout of their place. keep away from incidental pulling. you would be able to could desire to tug this weed out of your flower beds, use a trowel and pull heavily. i'm hoping that this facilitates solid luck-

Will wandering jew, spider plant, lamium, impatiens and nasturtium survive your winters? All of these can take shade and are aggressive and can fight creeping charlie in California. Morning glories are also aggressive, but also hard to get rid of.
You could be trading one overacheiver for another, no matter which one you pick.

Try pouring bleach on the roots. It's worked for me on a couple of my creeping plants, it may take a few times but it will kill the roots.

Round-up it works great! We just built our house on land that was just cleared so we had a lot of unwanted weeds. You might have to apply it a few times but it worked great for me.
