LIttle known is that fact that doing mathematical calculations in your head produces the same readings as a lie...even simple calculations like 2+2. The best thing to do is to make it so that every response, even ones that the asker knows are true, like your name or age or other baseling questions appear as lies, as do the questions that they ask to get a lie reading as well. If every question appeasr to be a lie, then they will assume that you are one of the small percentage of the population that the polygraph is ineffective against. Some people everything registers as a lie, some everything registers as truth, some don't register at all. That is the easies way...IF you can pull it off...just make certain that you do that with EVERY question and try to keep you timing, the intervals between when you are asked the question and when you answer, a consistant pause....

NO guarantees, but of all the methods I have seen or heard about for beating the machine....that one has shown the most consistant results.

Before the test, place a small nail inside the bottom of one of your shoes. Make sure you wear socks. Stay clam during the interview, and press your foot down onto the nail when the questions are asked. This will send mixed magnetic signals to the polygraph machine thus unable for them to get a true reading/inconclusive result. They won't know if your lying or telling the truth.

Good Luck!

I don't know know this firsthand, but here are some tips: When they ask the first 2 or 3 questions that are used as baselines (ex. Is your name ______ ?, Do you live at ______?), you need to answer correctly but try to get the machine to think you're lying. In other words, get nervous, hesitate, etc. Your reactions to these questions will be compared to your reactions to the other questions. You want your response to be consistent for every question. So, let the machine think you are lying for each and every question - it will be inconclusive. Also, you can put a tiny drop of anti-perspirant on each fingertip just before the test. Make sure it has completely dried and they can't see any residue - they will probably look for it. Best of Luck!!!

Yes, I think I could pass any polygraph test I was given. If you asked me if I was a 3 headed Vorgon, from the planet Cree, and I said yes, I believe it would record that as an honest answer. Those things are all mental, if you can control your mind you have no worries.

lie detectors use changes in the bodies physiology caused by the stress of lying. changes in breathing, heart rate, skin resistance due to sweating and other things. people telling the truth fail the test because they get too nervous. people who pass the test while lying control themselves. consider it like playing poker and having a poker face, only these people have a poker body..

There are 2 sure ways:
#1: Be innocent and tell the truth.
#2: Hold your breath for 30 minutes just before the test.

If you believe the lie, you won't exhibit the typical signs of lying (anxiety, quickened heart rate, etc.).
