You wear what ever you feel comfortable in and what you look good, in ask a friend for their opinion if they are a really good friend they will tell you the truth about how you look.

If I wanted to look like a decorated tree - maybe green and red, with a bit of gold trim. Our family all wear a tacky and gaudy very "Christmassie" Christmas T-shirt and put on the santa hat, then all get in for the family photo!

It really does depend on which part of Christmas you're asking about. For the pre-Christmas fluffy of nights out and parties then something black whch sparkles is always a winner. I think it's nice to wear something that you wouldn't wear anyother time of year.
But for Christmas day itself, well that's usually a family affair so casual clothes should be the order of the day. We tend to go smart casual for Christmas day dinner (just a family tradition).

Black or Red. I like to wear colors that look good on me, though...because Christmas in my family means lots and lots of pictures and camcorders.

i am going to buy, since i'm going to so many holiday partys a pretty victorian shirtdress with pointy black pumps.
a lacy babydoll dress w/ lacy pumps that match.
black skinny cords, a black victorian blouse, black suede peep toe wedges with tons of layered gold jewelery and a black belted trench coat.
for the family partys i will wear a black pencil skirt, a tight dark bright blue cinch v-neck sweater and super tall pointy black pumps.
ivory sheer sweater tunic, skinny jeans and ivoty peep toes.
a gray and white jaquered scoop neck tunic sweater, with white skinny jeans and gray suede pointy pumps.
gray,white and brown houndstooth trousers with a gray and white batwing kimono style sweater with brown leather boots.
all this stuff is from delias, i will get tons more stuff but there is to much to list.
