The Republican party represent people that believe in independence and personal responsibility, but force their morals through legislation.
The Democratic party represent people that believe morality is a personal issue, but believe in legislating government dependence.
To me some of this is wrong and some of it is right. Certainly everyone deserves representation whether I agree with them or not.

I do not know to which party to credit one good thing I have. The head up proudness I had getting my American citizenship paper over 5 decades ago. My proudness has deterioted because there is so much divisiveness that has come about since. Since then eiher parties seem to have forgetten the American people and only strive to gain and hold God-like powers over everybody only for their own personal gain. We have had good leaders and not so good ones and it looks to me that the not so good ones are forever blaming the good ones just to avert from their failures.

Good things about Republicans:
1) They are loyal enough to their own to cover up and ignore all kinds of corruption and abuse, and yet politically expedient enough to turn on a dime and throw their own to the wolves once the public becomes aware of aforementioned corruption and abuse!
2) They are adept at convincing the evangelicals that they give a crap about their agenda, but thankfully don't actually believe in it and are loathe to actually legislate it, preferring instead to give it just enough lip service to trick the religious right into believing that they're actually "trying".
3) Several of their prominent leaders will be getting an nice, long break soon.

I feel that Republicans are all about morality and Democrats and more about civil rights.
Both of these have their positive and negative attributes. But Im too tired to name them...
