Why is there so much cramping type pain and pressure down there. Is this normal and is they any way to relieve these symptoms and is this normal? It is so uncomfortable for me and sometimes I can't sleep because of it. Thanks

I feel for you and am sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable. Look on the bright side you are almost finished. But, in the meantime here are some suggestions I hope will help.
1. Lay on your side at night with a pillow between your legs, this will help line your hips up in alignment.
2. In order to alleviate lower abdominal pressure, get down on your hands and knees on all fours and rock from front to back. This is called the dromedary position and may help you to reposition your baby and alleviate the pressure that may be causing cramping. This is not necessarily abnormal but, is extremely uncomfortable.

I know what you mean because I am experiencing the exact same thing and it is really painful. I have too get all about 3 to 4 times at night to unrinate and when I do it even hurts to walk. I lay on one side and then it begins too hurt then I lay on the other side and it starts to hurt again. It makes is really hard to sleep. I think that it is normal.

I also try too sleep with a pillow in between my legs, it gives me some relieve but not enough... Good Luck, I hope you feel better...

No, pain is never normal, especially for such a long period of time. It could be anything from the cramping of your muscles, arthritis, or the need to have a D&C if you have pain around the area of your uteris and it becomes more pronounced at that certain time of the month. If you have over exercised your muscles may be in spasms, in that case a series of mild massages may do the trick or a session or more with a good chiropracter. Pain is you bodies way of telling you that there is something wrong and you should pay attention and deal with it otherwise it will get worse, not better. Best of luck to you.

Hi & Congratulations of your pregnancy!

I'm 32 weeks preg, and I am going through the same thing... it's either my Lower back or my leg. It hurts when I'm lying in bed, walking in the mall, or just sitting at work. I presented these porblems to my doctor, and I was told that those kinds of pains were expected in pregnancy (espicially this late in term). And the worse part, is that other than a long warm soak, there's nothing you can do or take. Right now, your ligaments are stretching, and relaxin, a hormone, that relaxes your hips so that baby can pass through are all to blame. I would suggest you get a body pillow (less than $9 at walmartand relax when ever you can. Try to take it easy, and enjoy your baby!

My husband HATED the words "Lower pressure" which I used quite often at the end of my pregnancy. your baby is getting bigger, putting lots of pressure on your hip bones and lower abdomen. I had to lay on a harder bed we have sometimes because our softer bed made me hurt worse. Maybe try that or to lay on something harder- the floor is quite uncomfortable, but you could see for a difference. Try a nice bath here and there- not too hot water, but that always helped me too. When it was warmer, the swimming pool worked wonders- felt like my stomach was weightless!

goodluck, I'm prob not too much help. but I sure had the same probs!

I HATE MY BED NOW!. a RECLINER helps with the lower back pain to. my crotch actually hurts so bad when i have to go pee 3 to 4 times a night it hurts to walk. this is my 3rd baby my doc says it's normol my baby is very low and head down that causes the presure.

Chyna, ask your Dr. about this. It could be a problem, maybe even an infection, or it could be normal because your hips are starting to spread to allow the baby to come out. For comfort try hot towels, hot baths, and use extra covers or pillows for repositioning and support. Slow even breathing exercises may help. Try listening to soothing music with headphones if you can.
